What is Propecia?

Propecia® (Finasteride) has been available to buy within the UK since 1997 and is the first and only oral medication to be approved for the treatment of male pattern hair loss. This treatment for a condition which is thought to effect up to 25% of the male population is effective in around 99% of men at both preventing further hair loss, as well generating new growth on both the vertex and the anterior mid-scalp areas.

You can expect to see results in as little as 3 months of using Propecia, with hair growth likely to begin in around 6-12 months. Although this treatment may not work for everyone, many people who use it have achieved dramatic hair growth, with many of these having a full head of hair within 5 years of using the medication.
How does Propecia work?

Propecia contains the active ingredient Finasteride, which is a medication known as a type II 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, which works to prevent the conversion of testosterone in to the considerably stronger hormone dihydrotestosterone. This hormone, also known as DHT, is formed on the scalp when testosterone and the enzyme type II 5-alpha reductase react with each other. The hormone which is created as a result then gets into the hair follicles and works to damage and shrink them, preventing visible hair from growning. As Propecia helps to inhibit this process the amount of DHT on both the scalp, this cycle can be reversed allowing hair to grow once more.

Propecia is taken orally once a day and must be taken for as long as you wish to keep the results that you have achieved from using this treatment. These results can be expected within 3 months of taking treatment, with a slowing down and prevention of further hair loss being initially experienced. Soon after, within 6-12 months, it is possible for hair to re-grow and within 5 years this can result in a full head of hair, depending on how well you react with this treatment.
Will Propecia work for me?

Propecia has been proven to work in around 99% of men suffering with male pattern hair loss. Out of these, around 2 out of 3 will experience hair growth, with the majority of remaining patients successfully preventing any further loss of hair. Propecia has been designed specifically to work on the vertex and the anterior mid-scalp area, there is currently no evidence to suggest that this treatment will work to prevent or restore a receding hair of the temporal area on both sides of the head, however it has been thought that Propecia may be effective in other areas for some patients.
What are the possible side effects of Propecia?

Like all prescription products, Propecia may cause side effects. In American clinical studies, side effects from Propecia were uncommon and did not affect most men. A small number of men experienced side effects, approximately 2% of all those who took part in clinical trials of the drug. Any side effects experienced were low in severity and often subside within the first few days of treatment, leaving you to continue your course of Propecia without any adverse reactions or unpleasant side effects.

Welcome to the Levitra information web site. Levitra (sometimes called Vivanza), generic name vardenafil, is a prescription medication used as treatment for erectile dysfunction. When Levitra is used to treat erectile dysfunction, it helps to increase the blood flow into the penis to enable you to achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.

Levitra is an oral prescription drug for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Levitra tablets are available in four strengths, 2.5mg, 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg, with 10 mg being the normal starting dose for the average male, being equivalent in potency to a dose of 50mg of Viagra.

Levitra has been clinically proven to work for men with a variety of health problems, including high cholesterol, diabetes and hypertension.

Men who take Levitra have reported that they achieve harder erections and are more successful at maintaining them long enough for sexual intercourse to be successfully completed.

Levitra in the UK, EU and US

THE FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved Levitra (vardenafil) as a treatment for ED on August 19th, 2003. It has also been approved by the EMEA (the European Medicines Evaluation Agency) – the date of this approval was March 6th, 2003.

Levitra is only available on the NHS (the National Health Service in the UK) for the treatment of ED when it is caused by a limited number of physical conditions, including multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, Parkinson’s disease, spinal injury, prostate cancer, polio and some genetic neurological conditions. If you are not sure whether you would qualify to receive Levitra on the NHS, you should discuss the matter with your doctor.

Levitra is prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. It is not indicated for use by women.

About Cialis

History
Eli Lilly and Company, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, is the manufacturer of Cialis (tadalafil) tablets. The drug was originally developed by ICOS, a biotechnology organization, which joined with Lilly as Lilly ICOS LLC. Tadalafil tablets were given the IK by the Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, on November 21, 2003. This new medicine for treating erectile dysfunction followed on the heels of Pfizer’s immensely popular Viagra, which hit the markets March 27, 1998, and a second impotence fighting drug called Levitra.
Identification
Tadalafil comes in tablet form in various strengths including 5, 10 and 20 mg dosages. They are a dull yellow color and shaped like almonds. They are monogrammed with a ‘C’ and a number indicating the dosage size. Cialis tablets are smooth in texture. If you receive a medication alleged to be Cialis that does not fit this physical description, you should check with your physician before taking it. Tadalafil is an oral drug which can be taken with or without food. The medication should be stored at room temperature in locations inaccessible to children.
Types
There are two types of Cialis on the market. The first is known as 36-hour Cialis and operates on the principle that a man who takes a dose of this drug can expect to be ready for sexual intercourse at any time from 30 minutes after taking the tablet until it wears off some 36 hours later. This gives men the flexibility to be intimate as the day or weekend unfolds rather than the shorter span of time given by older erectile dysfunction medications. The second type of Cialis allows for even more flexibility. It is the daily-use Cialis. The tablet, unlike 36-hour Cialis, should be taken once a day every day for effectiveness. By taking daily-use Cialis, a man can be ready for physical intimacy at nearly any time. It often takes several days before the medicine works to full capacity.
Considerations
Tadalafil tablets should only be taken by men who are healthy enough for sexual intercourse as determined by their physicians. Patients should disclose their full medical history to their physicians prior to being prescribed this drug. Physicians should be made aware of any other medications their patient is taking including over-the-counter drugs and any herbal remedies. Those taking Cialis should not drink alcoholic beverages to the point of intoxication due to the possibility of severely lowering blood pressure and extreme dizziness. Patients taking Cialis daily, should realize the medication will be in their bodies as long as they continue the drug and for days following an interruption of the prescription.
Warning
Men should seek emergency medical treatment if they experience an unusually long-lasting erection while taking Cialis. It should be noted that erections enduring four hours or more can result in permanent damage. Though extremely rare, there have been events in which men taking Cialis experience a loss of sight or hearing; while it is unknown whether these problems are linked to the prescription of Tadalafil tablets, anyone experiencing such an incident should seek out medical attention immediately. Those taking Cialis should be regularly examined by a physician even if no side effects appear to be occurring.

Should I take Viagra 50mg before eating?

We received a testimonial from a man who wanted to share his story after taking Viagra 50mg, so we decided to share his experience in a blog post:

“John Pierre” from Toronto wrote:

“The first time I tried Viagra was from a sample package my doctor gave me back in 2008. Did not always have trouble but on a few occasions I did, so I took one the day I received the samples. I recall having a heavy lunch that afternoon and decided to take it after my meal which was about 5pm. To my surprise I did not have much success 3 hours after when I met my wife after work. I was able to get it up but did not feel my erection at 100% more like 60% barely able to perform. I decided it was probably a dud and does not have much affect one me.

To my surprise I read an article about taking viagra on an empty stomach for better results, ah then it hit me, I should have taken it before I ate. To make a long story short. I took a 50mg viagra with me in my wallet and my wife and I went shopping in town, by the middle of the day we decided to get something to eat at Appelbee’s. I was starving at this point and new it was a good time to take the Viagra. We sat down I ordered a light meal (nothing greasy or to fatty) and excused myself from the table to go to the wash room. I took the Viagra pill and back to the table. We finished up our meal (30 minutes) and headed for the car for the 45 minute drive home. I must say I was right on time because as we were approaching our house I got a little turned on and starting feeling a great erection. The great part it it stayed hard for 5 minutes until we got to the bedroom to get it on and then we went for 25 minutes or rock solid, well you know….. Usually I would get soft while commuting to the room, taking off my pants, a little foreplay, but no my erection lasted rock hard the whole time.

It was great, I even felt a great morning erection for a second go with my wife. Wanted to share this and thought it might be a good story for your blog or forum. For all you guys who are not having good results remember to try taking it before a meal or on an empty stomach.”
